Kathleen’s Letter

Ranjini,

My heart aches for you and your children, and your husband that you are separated from. I rage at the injustice of your imprisonment. I am ashamed that my country would do this to you. More than anything I want us to welcome you as a free woman into our community, to help you and your family make your new lives here, in peace and safety.

I promise I will not stop speaking about your case until you are free. I promise I will fight in whatever way I can, to overturn these unjust laws, to ensure you and others are free and that this never happens again. Sending love, prayers and strength for you and your family.

We will not forget you and the others who are unjustly imprisoned.
